I made a hat as a little break from my routine, getting ready for summer.I love the shape of beanies, but they tend to get too hot as the weather warms up. After looking around and not finding anything I really liked, I decided to make one myself.I used pure silk fabric, the same kind used for kimono, and made it into a double-layered beanie. The silk feels smooth and silky — cool and comfortable in summer, yet warm enough in winter.

Handmade items like this are really nice once in a while. The process of making it was fun, and wearing it is just as enjoyable.

探してもなかなか良いのが見つからなくて自分で作りました。
着物のように正絹を使いダブルレイヤーのビーニーです。
さらさらで夏は涼しく、冬は暖かく。
